Black Widow Trailer Arrives

It’s been 11 years since Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff was introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Iron Man 3. After fans demanded a solo movie for YEARS, the day is actually on the horizon. I’m in shock. I never thought it would happen. Things looked bleak after the events of Endgame but Marvel decided to throw us a bone.

Black Widow will take place before the events of Endgame as Natasha reunites with Yelena (Florence Pugh), a sister-figure from the past. They will return to Russia to confront the past and embark on a mission. It’s giving me a little Captain America: The Winter Soldier vibe with the espionage feel of the trailer. Can’t complain about that because it’s one of the MCU’s best movies! Black Widow also Stars Rachel Weisz and David Harbor. The only thing I’m skeptical about here is David Harbor’s character, Alexei. He looks a little cartoony for the subject material. Who knows, he may surprise me in the movie though!

Black Widow will hit theaters on May 1, 2020. You can watch the trailer right here!

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Final Trailer Debuts

Get ready, Star Wars fans! The end of the Skywalker saga is just two months away from release. The final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker debuted during Monday Night Football and it looks pretty epic if I do say so myself. The trailer gives the audience a peek at scenes that include a battle on space horses, a Rey and Kylo Ren lightsaber battle, and a ton of rain. This looks like a very rain-heavy chapter in the Star Wars series. Hopefully, we finally find out who Rey’s parents are because I am not satisfied with the answer we got in The Last Jedi! I’m very interested to see how they take her relationship with Kylo Ren in this movie after their “force bond” in the last movie. And how does Palpatine factor into all this? I thought he was dead!

The Rise of Skywalker is directed by JJ Abrams and stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Carrie Fisher, and Billie D. Williams. It will be in theaters on December 20th. You can watch the trailer here.

Marriage Story Trailer Promises Great Acting and Emotional Storyline

Netflix is gearing up for awards season with several releases on the horizon including The King, The Irishman, and the Noah Baumbach directed Marriage Story. The film starring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver follows a couple as their marriage begins to disintegrate and they contemplate getting a divorce. There has been plenty of Oscar buzz surrounding both Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver for their performances in the film. Joining the two in the supporting cast is Laura Dern, Alan Alda, and Ray Liotta. So there’s a lot of talent involved in this potential Oscar contender.
From just the trailers, it looks like this is gonna be quite emotional. Both actors are showing some impressive acting skills and the film is giving me a Kramer vs. Kramer vibe. Imagine what the movie has in store! Marriage Story will be in select theaters on November 6th and on Netflix on December 6th.

Margot Robbie will return as Harley Quinn and the film will co-star Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, and Ewan McGregor. Birds of Prey will be released in theaters on February 7, 2020. Hopefully this will be much better than Suicide Squad. So far, the trailer looks promising! Watch it right here:

Timothée Chalamet as King Henry V in New Trailer

Timothée Chalamet is on a roll. After his impressive success with Call Me Be Your Name, Lady Bird, and Beautiful Boy, he has quite a cinematic line up set for this fall including Greta Gerwig’s Little Women. Before that hits theaters, he stars in The King. Netflix has just released the first trailer for the film starring Chalamet as King Henry V. The film will focus on Henry’s younger years as he goes from a prince to a reluctant king and must navigate the chaotic royal world that his father left behind. Chalamet’s co-stars include Joel Edgerton, Robert Pattinson, Lily Rose Depp, Sean Harris, and Ben Mendelsohn. The film was directed by David Michôd and the screenplay was written by Michôd and Joel Edgerton. It will premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 2nd and stream on Netflix November 1st. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker...Could Rey Turn to the Dark Side?

A brand new trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premiered at the Disney D23 expo this weekend. The trailer mainly consists of footage from previous Star Wars films hyping up The Rise of Skywalker as an epic conclusion to the current trilogy. There isn’t much new footage from the highly anticipated film, but a shocking revelation at the end of the trailer shows Rey in a hooded cloak with a red lightsaber. Could she be turning to the dark side? I think the clip may be some kind of dramatic trick to get everyone to see the movie. Maybe she’s a clone or imaginary. Surely, she can’t be turning evil, right? We’ll all find out on December 20th. Watch the trailer here!

Last Christmas Will Debut in November

The first signs of the Christmas season are here with an all new trailer for Last Christmas. It’s a film written by Emma Thompson and directed by Paul Feig. It stars Emilia Clarke, Henry Goulding, and Michelle Yeouh (a mother and son Crazy Rich Asians reunion!). Last Christmas is about a depressed woman named Kate working as Santa’s elf in a department store. She keeps bumping into the same man, Tom, who may help her find happiness in the holiday season. While it sounds like the makings of the perfect holiday rom-com, many on the internet think it has a major plot twist because of a few clues in the trailer. Kate was severely ill in the past (on the verge of death) and no other characters are interacting with Tom. A few theories floating around include Tom is an angel helping Kate love life again. Another is that he is the ghost of her heart donor that only she can see (taking the lyrics “Last Christmas, I gave you my heart” to a very literal level.) I’m hoping there’s no twist to this movie and there can be a nice holiday romance this year. We’ll find out on November 8th when Last Christmas makes its way to theaters. Watch the trailer here and see what you think!

Little Women Trailer Released

This Christmas, Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated adaption of Little Women will be released to theaters just in time for the holiday! The director’s follow up to Lady Bird is a remake of the beloved Louisa May Alcott novel. It stars Saoirse Ronan, Meryl Streep, Laura Dern, Timothee Chalamet, Emma Watson, and Florence Pugh. Little Women will be in theaters on December 25th, so mark those calendars. With this much talent involved, I know I’ll be seeing it! Take a look at the first trailer right here

Shia Labeouf Plays His Own Father In New Film

It’s no secret that Shia LaBeouf has had a chaotic lifestyle in his post-Disney days. It looks like audiences are about to find out what has gone on behind-the-scenes with the film, Honey Boy. The film is written by LaBeouf and follows his own experiences with fame and the strained relationship with his dysfunctional father. Noah Jupe and Lucas Hedges will be playing Shia LaBeouf as a child and teen actor, while Shia LaBeouf will play his own father for a meta twist. Alma Har’el directs the film and it will be in theaters on November 9, 2019. Watch the trailer right here
